I’m excited to announce that we have launched a brand new online course today.
The Five Element Acupuncture Theory online course has been developed by my colleague and good friend Michael Baker, who taught me Five Element Acupuncture when I studied at the College of Traditional Acupuncture (CTA) in Leamington Spa, UK.
Michael will be teaching this in-depth theory course via our Acupuncture Courses Online Training Portal and it is open to acupuncture practitioners from a variety of backgrounds. Here’s more:
The Five Element Acupuncture Theory online course is both written and taught by experienced acupuncturist and lecturer Michael Baker Post Grad Dip (HPE). BAc. MBAcC. Dip in Life coaching. 2nd Dan.
Michael was fortunate enough to study with Professor J. R. Worsley and his inspirational team at The College of Traditional Acupuncture, (CTA) in Leamington Spa, UK, becoming a member of faculty in 2001. In 2012 he was invited to join the faculty of The Acupuncture Academy (TAA), UK.
The aim of this course is to be inclusive and, as such, it is hoped it will be of interest to the following range of practitioners:
Five Element Practitioners: It is our wish that this material will support, enhance, strengthen, and refresh your present knowledge. We hope that you will find that the Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) aspect of the course broadens your horizons and stimulates your enthusiasm to explore the essence of TCM, thereby providing mutual respect.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioners: It is our wish that the Five Element (5E) aspects of this course will enhance your work and by sharing the very essence of 5E that your knowledge will be broadened and mutual respect will be achieved.
Western Acupuncture Practitioners: It is our wish that by enhancing your understanding of Five Element theory, your acupuncture knowledge will be strengthened. Since this course is also sprinkled with Traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture theory, it is our aim that your skills will be further broadened. We hope that you enjoy both the Five Element and Traditional Chinese medicine styles of acupuncture that are introduced in this course and that you feel encouraged to include this holistic approach in your work.
On successful completion of this course, you will receve a certificate in Five Element Acupuncture Theory. It is understood by completing this program that, unless already fully qualified as a Five Element acupuncturist, you have been introduced to the theory of Five Element Acupuncture only and will not be able to claim to be a Five Element practitioner. As your own professional training consisted of your completing an extensive practical course, as indeed is the case for the practitioners who study Five Element Acupuncture. This course is intended as a first step, albeit a comprehensive one, on the journey.
Visit our course preview page for a run-down of all 96 individual units included in this extensive training programme.
Michael and I look forward to seeing you online.
